Job Title: Public Relations Officer (PRO)

Job Purpose:

The Public Relations Officer is responsible for managing the company’s public image, building strong relationships with stakeholders, handling media communications, and promoting the organization’s brand through strategic PR activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective public relations strategies and campaigns.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and public statements.
• Draft press releases, speeches, newsletters, and other PR materials.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, stakeholders, and the public.
• Organize press conferences, corporate events, and promotional activities.
• Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and public perception of the organization.
• Manage crisis communication and handle sensitive issues professionally.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align communication strategies with business goals.
• Support branding, marketing, and promotional initiatives through PR efforts.
• Prepare reports on PR activities, media coverage, and campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in public relations, media management, or corporate communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
• Knowledge of media handling, press release writing, and event management.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage crisis situations effectively.
• Creative thinking with problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with PR tools and social media platforms.
