Job Title: Home Nurse (Male / Female) – Elderly & Baby Care

Department: Home Healthcare / Nursing Services
Reports to: Nursing Supervisor / Medical Coordinator

Job Overview:

The Home Nurse will provide personalized healthcare and support services to patients at home, focusing on elderly individuals and newborn/baby care. The role involves administering basic medical care, monitoring health conditions, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring comfort and safety within a home environment. Compassion, patience, and professional nursing skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day nursing care to patients at home (elderly individuals or infants).
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs, and assist in routine medical procedures.
• Support elderly patients with mobility, hygiene, feeding, exercise, and companionship.
• Provide newborn and infant care including feeding, bathing, diaper changes, sleep routines, and health monitoring.
• Assist mothers in postnatal care and educate families on newborn care practices.
• Monitor and record patients’ health progress and report to doctors or family members.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for patients.
• Handle medical emergencies and provide first aid until further medical help is available.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
• Follow healthcare protocols, confidentiality policies, and professional ethics.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / Degree in Nursing or certified caregiving course.
• Registration with the Nursing Council (where applicable).
• Previous experience in elderly care, baby care, or hospital/home nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical procedures, first aid, and emergency handling.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and strong caregiving abilities.
• Physical stamina and willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts if required.
