Role Overview

Technology professionals in Sri Lanka are responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems, applications, and digital solutions that support business operations and innovation. Depending on the specialization, the role may involve software development, system administration, data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, or IT support.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about technology, adaptable to fast-changing trends, and capable of working in cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications or IT systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Support business units with technology-driven solutions and innovation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Ensure system security, data protection, and compliance with IT policies.
• Implement and maintain databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Provide end-user support and training as required.
• Document processes, systems, and configurations for knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, Google Cloud, Scrum, etc.) are an advantage.
• 1–5 years of professional experience (entry to mid-level roles).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, etc.) or IT systems.
• Knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
